Biography:
I began my mental health career as a case manager in 1997, helping foster kids achieve independence. I became a marriage and family therapy intern in 2001, treating individuals, couples, families and kids. I became licensed in 2008. I began my private practice in 2013.
For more than two decades, I have treated men and women, couples, families, teens and small kids. Before entering private practice, I worked in schools, counseling centers, mental health clinics, a psychiatric hospital, and a locked facility for the chronically mentally ill.
As a bilingual (Spanish), therapist, I have treated Spanish-speaking immigrants and their children suffering from depression and anxiety, and other mental health issues. In 2001, I completed Phillips Graduate Institute’s Latino Family Therapy Program.
I am a past consultant to L.A.P.D.’s Jeopardy program, part of a task force of cops, probation officers, therapists, and child abuse investigators. We helped families in
distress, by empowering parents who had lost control of their at-risk kids. Earlier, I helped Santa Barbara County’s probation department assess adults and kids for substance abuse.
Private practice since 2013, in Santa Clarita, and Frazier Park, California.
